The City of Milford will hold a public workshop for a proposed amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Southeast Master Plan on October 12 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at City Hall. The City, Bayhealth and other agencies will be available during the two hour period to discuss the current status of projects and development in the Southeast Neighborhood and provide information related to the proposed amendment to the Plan.
The amendment includes three parcels of land adjacent to State Route 1 containing approximately 110 acres of undeveloped agricultural land (see map below). The owner of the properties has requested to change the Future Land Use from Low Density Residential to Highway/Commercial.
In addition to the public workshop, the City’s Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on October 18 beginning at 7:00 pm or as soon thereafter as possible and City Council will hold a public hearing on October 24 beginning at 7:00 pm or as soon thereafter as possible at City Hall to review the amendment.
