MHS Creates “Thank You” Banners for Veterans

MHS students signed banners with thank you messages to all of our country’s veterans. Members from VFW Post #6483 gathered in the lobby to shake hands and stand proud while students and staff expressed gratitude. These banners will be presented to our fighting men and women who have been deployed and also to Home of the Brave and the Veteran’s Home.

Banneker Student Council Creates Flag for Veterans

BBSC members created a 10’ by 6’ American flag for their community service project for Veteran’s Day. Each member traced his/her hand four times on red paper and cut them out. These 180 hand prints were used for the red stripes on the flag. Members also cut out the 50 stars. The flag will be delivered to the Milford Veteran’s Home to show appreciation to our local servicemen.
