Chocolate 5K Run/Walk Saturday, February 11

The 5th annual Delaware Tech Terry Campus Chocolate 5K Run/Walk, a sweet event the whole family can enjoy, will take place on campus Saturday, February 11, 2017. The event offers a 5K run on a single loop USATF-certified course, a 5K walk, a free Kiddie K and post-race chocolate treats for all!

The Kiddie K starts at 9:50 a.m., followed by the 5K run and walk at 10.

On-line registration is open at go.dtcc.edu/Chocolate5K. Entry Fee is $25 until February 4 ($30 thereafter). Race-day registration opens at 9 a.m.

Amenities include an event tech shirt, chip timing, post-race food and beverage, awards to overall male and female champions, overall masters winners, top three in 5-year age groups and, new this year, a prize presented to the largest competing team. Medals will also be presented to Kiddie K participants.

At the conclusion of the competitions, participants and their supporters can warm up inside with an awards ceremony and the opportunity to indulge on homemade hot chocolate, freshly prepared chocolate ganache and decadent home-baked chocolate treats, all prepared by students in the Terry Campus culinary arts program.

Proceeds support the Terry Campus International Education Study Abroad Scholarship Program.
