Delaware Baseball Hall of Fame Plans 2017 Inductions Nominations Now Due For The 24th Class of Inductees
Nominations are now being accepted for candidates to the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. This Hall of Fame was founded by the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Association to honor coaches, managers, players, teams and other individuals (umpires, league administrators, writers, groundskeepers, etc.) who have made outstanding contributions to baseball in Delaware. The Hall was founded in 1994 and now has 127 members from all segments of the baseball community in Delaware.
“We are delighted that this summer we will have our 24th class of inductees to the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame”, said committee coordinator and former Saint Mark’s coach, Tom Lemon. “We seek to honor those from the baseball community in our state who are so deserving of this recognition”, said Lemon.
Those wishing to submit a nomination may do so in writing or electronically. Nominations should include a letter of nomination, supporting accomplishments and achievements, and detail the candidate’s contribution to baseball in Delaware. Nominations are due by February 10, 2017. They may be sent to: Tom Lemon, 2702 Pecksniff Rd., Wilmington, DE. 19808, or emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please call 302-998-0267 with any questions. Inductees will be announced this spring, and the induction ceremony will be held in June during a Wilmington Blue Rocks game at Frawley Stadium.
