On January 26, 2017 School Resource Officers from the Milford Police Department were notified by staff from Lulu Ross Elementary School about a person who approached a student who was walking home from school. Investigation revealed a student was approached by a bright blue vehicle, operated by a black male, possibly 20’s or early 30’s, wearing glasses, with no hair (bald), black jacket, and a blue shirt with the word “grill” or “grille” on it. The vehicle is also believed to be two door. The operator of the vehicle asked the student if they wished to have a ride. Without talking to the operator, the student fled on foot back to the school and notified staff, who immediately contacted Milford Police. This incident, which occurred as children were walking home from school, reportedly took place on Bridgeham Avenue in the area of Southeast 3rd Street. The vehicle is believed to have left the area heading westbound on Southeast 3rd Street towards Marshall Street. Milford Police searched the area for the vehicle, but were unable to locate same.
