On January 31, 2017 at approximately 10:37 pm, officers patrolling the Valley Run Apartment complex observed a vehicle that was on, but appeared to be unoccupied. According to police, as officers approached they observed the vehicle actually was occupied, but they also noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Further investigation determined one of the occupants in the vehicle was in possession of 5.6 grams of marijuana. Jonathan L. Rivera, 20 of Magnolia, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and released.
