Charged With Selling Stolen Property

On February 2, 2017 Milford Police arrested a 26 year old Marydel man following an investigation into stolen property. On January 5, 2017 Milford Police were contacted by a detective from Caroline County (Maryland) Sheriff’s Office in reference to a sale of stolen property. According to police, investigation revealed Zachary T. Swafford, 26 of Marydel, had sold a video game to a Milford gaming retailer that reportedly had been stolen in Maryland. The sale of this game triggered an alert in a law enforcement data base and a Caroline County Detective reached out to Milford Police. Further investigation revealed Mr. Swafford reportedly engaged in the transaction of the stolen item on 12.29.2017. Mr. Swafford has been charged with Selling Stolen Property. Mr. Swafford was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $1000.00 unsecured. Mr. Swafford is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in March.
