Female Arrested on Shoplifting Charges



The Milford Police Department Patrol Division arrested Meagan Miller, 19 of Lincoln DE, for a shoplifting case that occurred in October 2016. Investigation showed that Miller allegedly assisted another subject with shoplifting several items from Walmart by concealing the merchandise in a plastic Walmart bag that they brought into the store and walking out with the merchandise. According to police, the investigation showed that after the two shoplifted from the store, Miller allegedly re-entered the store wearing different clothing and returned the stolen merchandise receiving U.S. Currency for the stolen merchandise. Miller was charged with Possession of Shoplifter’s Tools, Shoplifting under $1500, Theft by False Pretense under $1500, Use of Illegitimate Retail Sales Receipt, and Conspiracy 3rd Degree. Miller was arraigned on those charges through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was released on $9000.00 USC unsecured bail. Miller was given a preliminary hearing date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas for 02/24/2017. Miller was also wanted out of Seaford PD and was processed on charges for that agency as well.
