A record 630 people registered for the 5th annual Terry Campus Chocolate 5K Run/Walk, which was held February 11, 2017 and supported the campus’ international education study abroad scholarship program and on-campus Global Understanding Series for students and the community.
Beautiful weather boosted day-of registration for the event, which started with a Kiddie K fun run held a few minutes before the 5K runners and walkers took off from the start line.
The post-race awards party featured freshly made chocolate ganache accompanied by fruits and house-made treats for dipping, as well as an array of home-baked goods and hot chocolate. Students in the culinary arts program prepared the post-race snacks.
Next year’s Chocolate 5K Run/Walk, which once again promises to be a sweet event the whole family can enjoy, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018.
