Domestic Situation Leads To Arrest

 

 

On February 28, 2017, the Milford Police Department Patrol Division was dispatched to a domestic situation at the Traveler’s Inn Motel. Units responded to the motel and made contact with the victim, who alleged that he had been assaulted by his girlfriend after a verbal altercation. The victim alleged that he obtained a small injury to his face as a result of the incident, but did not require medical treatment. The victim’s girlfriend was identified as Dawn Keiper, 38 of Milford, DE. As Keiper was being taken into custody on the assault, she began to yell profanities across the parking lot and continued to do so even after being told to stop. Her behavior was witnessed by several members of the public that were standing outside in the parking lot at the time of the incident. Keiper was charged with Assault 3rd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. She was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2. Keiper was committed to Delores J Baylor Women’s Correction Institution in default of $1000.00 USC secured bail. She was given a future court appearance in Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
