DMI hosts 7th Annual Pub Crawl. March 17

Staff Report

On Friday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, Downtown Milford, Inc. (DMI) will host the 7th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl. A “Toasting the Town” tradition for the Milford community, this year’s Pub Crawl will feature local businesses, local restaurants, and visiting breweries, wineries and distilleries from 5 pm – 9 pm as DMI continues their commitment to highlighting downtown Milford.

The event encourages participants to walk through downtown Milford wearing official Pub Crawl shirts. The t-shirts will have the participating vendors names printed on the back as attendees will receive a check mark on the back of the shirt for each host site and pouring vendor they visit.

This year’s Crawl features a black shirt with a slight twist on the traditional Pub Crawl shamrock logo. T-shirts are on sale at the DMI office located at 207 S. Walnut Street. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm and on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm in the lobby of the Riverfront Theater located at 2 S. Walnut St. Shirts are $18 this week and the week of the crawl the price goes to $20. Sizes xxl and up are an additional $2. It is important to get your t-shirts early as the Pub Crawl shirts have sold out every year.

Participating merchants will have specials for event shirt wearers established in their place of business. These may include discounted drinks and food specials as well as beer, wine and liquor tastings from local breweries, wineries and distilleries.

Pub Crawlers can have their photo taken, absolutely free, at the Shamrock Shutterbug photo booth, sponsored by Arena’s. Through Arenas’ generous sponsorship, Shasta Shutterbug Photography by CM Baker will take keepsake photos of all the good luck, good fun and good memories of St. Patrick’s Day.

Host sponsors for the Crawl include Second Street Players, who will host Mispillion River Brewing Company (from Milford)and Sposato Family Vineyards (from Lewes), and Petite Sweets will host Crooked Hammock Brewery (from Lewes). At 131 NW Front Street, It’s About Time will host samplings from Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales (from Milton) and Lifecycle, the new bicycle shop located at 10 SE Front St., will host Revelation Craft Brewing (from Rehoboth) and Rubber Soul Brewing (from Salisbury, MD).
