The Second Street Players Children’s Theater proudly presents Robin Hood  and His Merry Men March  10, 11 and 12. All performances will be held at The Riverfront Theater, 2 South Walnut Street in downtown Milford, DE. Robin Hood and his Merry Men is a comedy that brings the classic story into a new light. All the classic characters are there such as Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Sheriff  of Nottingham, Friar Tuck and Little John. Audiences can find out what happens when all the characters come together for a zany rendition of this story.

Directors Guy Crawford and Joshua Gross bring this classic tale with a twist to the Riverfront Theater with a very talented cast of actors ranging from ages 8 to 50 plus. “The cast makes this an exciting performance,” said Crawford. “It has been so much fun working with the talent assembled here.”

Although the performance is a Children’s Theater production, Director Gross states that this is a family affair. “This is not your typical Robin Hood, it is a full fledge comedy with humor for adults too,” said Gross. “We want families to enjoys the laughter and fun.”

Brandon Twilley performs the role of Robin Hood as a veteran of Second Street Players for over 20 years. Local theatre fans know Twilley from his most recent performances in Drop Dead last summer and Inherit the Wind at the Riverfront Theatre. He enjoys the opportunity to play the classical character of Robin Hood, with a unique style.

“He’s such an iconic character but this play gives him and every other character a different spin, which is funny and different than the traditional Howard Pyle Robin Hood,” said Twilley. “I hope families enjoy the show, enjoy the hard work put in by their sons, daughters, family members, or friends. And simply have a good time.”

Directors share that the show will keep families laughing from start to finish. Performances will be held at The Riverfront Theater, 2 South Walnut Street in downtown Milford on March  10, 11 and 12.
