On March 17, 2017 at approximately 2:55 p.m., Milford Police Department Patrol Division was on routine patrol, when they observed a Red Pontiac Grand Prix make a left turn from N Walnut St onto N Rehoboth Blvd and began traveling northbound in the southbound lane. The vehicle continued to travel this way until it made another left turn onto NW 10th St and failed to signal it’s left turn. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the operator, Terrance Ellis, 34 of Milford, DE. Police state that investigation revealed that Ellis appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers conducted further testing and it was determined that Ellis was alleged to be under the influence of alcohol. Investigation also revealed that Ellis had a revoked driver’s license and had three prior DUI convictions. Ellis was taken into custody and charged with 4th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving while Suspended/Revoked, Fail to Signal Turn, and Driving in Proper Lane and Direction. Ellis was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $6502.00 USC. Ellis was order to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a Preliminary Hearing at a later date.
