Charged After Disorderly near US Rt 113

 

On March 30, 2017 at approximately 4:29 pm officers from the Milford Police Department responded to the 900 block of North DuPont Blvd (US Rt 113) to a report of a verbal altercation. Upon arrival officers contacted Melissa A. Dukes, 36 of Lincoln, on the west side of the roadway to investigate the matter further. Police state that while speaking with Ms. Dukes, she became agitated and repeatedly used obscene language that was alarming to bystanders. Ms. Dukes was asked several times to cease her behavior and she refused. After failing to comply with with request Ms. Dukes was taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct. Ms. Dukes was initially committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution due to her level of intoxication and has since been presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $250.00 unsecured. Ms Dukes is scheduled for an arraignment at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in May.
