Arrested On Domestic Related Charges

 

On April 14, 2017 at approximately 8:58 p.m., Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to a domestic incident in the parking lot of SITEL. Initial call advised that the reporting person alleged that they saw a male subject assaulting a female subject in the parking lot. Officers responded to the scene and made contact with the victim. The victim alleged that the suspect, identified as James Finney, 29 of Milford, DE, did hit her several times in the head while she was on the ground with his hands. The victim did sustain injury from the assault and was transported to Bayhealth: Milford Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Two children were present when the incident occurred.

Finney was taken into custody and charged with Assault 3rd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, and 2 counts of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child Witnessed Sight Or Sound. Finney was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on $2000.00 unsecured bail with a no contact order with the victims. Finney was ordered to appear at a later date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
