Theft Investigation Leads to Fugitive Arrest

 
On April 17, 2017 at approximately 12:56 a.m., Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to Wawa for a theft investigation. During the course of the investigation, contact was made with a Veronica Hurtt, 29 of Milford, DE. It was determined that she was not involved in the alleged theft, but she was wanted on a capias out of Kent County Court of Common Pleas. She was taken into custody and during a search of her person, alleged drug paraphernalia was located on her person.

Hurtt was arraigned on the capias through Justice of the Peace Court 7 and she was released on $500.00 unsecured bail on the capias. She was ordered to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas on a later date in reference to the capias. She was also issued a criminal summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Non-Marijuana Related. She was given a future court date in Justice of the Peace Court 6 for the criminal summons.
