Police Comment On Speculation Of Area Human Trafficking

May 18 2017 /

The Milford Police Department has been contacted by many concerned citizens over a social media post about human trafficking incidents occurring in Milford, particularly at Wawa located on North DuPont Highway (US Rt 113). “We have no reports of these incidents occurring and have met with Wawa staff to discuss any suspicious activity they may have noticed,” said Police officials. “Wawa reports nothing out of the ordinary has occurred there. Human Trafficking is a serious issue that concerns the Delaware Law Enforcement community and we do urge anyone who has information about actual crimes being committed to please contact Milford Police Department or your local police agency. Although there is no information to substantiate this claim, it remains a concern.”
