Arrested After Traffic Stop Investigation

 

On June 1, 2017, Milford Police Department Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a light green Ford Mustang in the area of SE 3rd St and Columbia St for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, one of the passengers, Adreine Bennett, 33 of Milford DE, provided officers with a false name. Both the operator of the vehicle and Bennett were known to officers. Police determined that Bennett had provided officers with a false name because she had two active capiases for her arrest. As Bennett was being taken into custody, she became disorderly and began to shout profanities in the street. A search of the vehicle, resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia. The operator, a Cassidy Squatrito, 23 of Bridgeville, DE, was also taken into custody.

Squatrito was charged with Hindering Prosecution and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Non-Marijuana Related. She was issued a criminal summons on the above charges and a traffic summons. Squatrito was given a future court appearance in Justice of the Peace Court 6 reference to the criminal summons. Bennett was charged with Criminal Impersonation, Hindering Prosecution, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Non-Marijuana Related, and Disorderly Conduct. She was issued a criminal summons on the above charges and was transported to Kent County Court of Common Pleas in reference to her capiases. Bennett was given a future court appearance in Justice of the Peace Court 6 reference to the criminal summons.
