On June 22, 2017 at approximatey 10:45 am, an officer from the Milford Police Department travelling on Northwest Front Street (SR 14) observed a male subject attempting for force a victim into a vehicle. The officer, along with other officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division, made contact with the victim and Marvin D. Spady, 46 of Milford. Police state that investigation revealed Mr. Spady attempted to force the victim into a vehicle during a verbal altercation. Mr. Spady was taken into custody without incident at the scene. A subsequent search of Mr. Spady located crack cocaine. Mr. Spady has been charged with Possesses With The Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Imprisonment Second Degree, Possess a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance without a Prescription, Offensive Touching, and Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Spady was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $5950.00 secured. Mr. Spady has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 06.30.2017 for a Preliminary Hearing.
