Chamber Donates to Relay for Life

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford presented the American Cancer Society/Milford Relay for Life with a $1,000 check from a portion of the proceeds generated from the 1st Annual “Stomp Out Cancer” 5K Run/Walk. Relay for life celebrated their 20th Anniversary.

Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and to raise money for research and programs. Teams of people gathered at the former Milford Middle School, they take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.
