The Music School of Delaware is pleased to announce Amos Fayette as the new director for The Music School of Delaware’s Milford Branch.
The community is invited to meet Amos at our hard hat tour party on August 15th and celebrate the development of our new branch location in downtown Milford (23 N. Walnut Street). On Tuesday, July 11 the Music School will host an invitation-only kick-off party at the Milford Women’s Club. The Hard Hat Tour Party on Tuesday, August 15 will be open to the public.
“I’m excited to continue growing The Music School of Delaware in Kent and Sussex counties,” Fayette said. “Everyone in the community has been very welcoming, and I’m looking forward to working with our local businesses and individuals as we expand our reach.”
A new resident of Milford, Fayette is a violinist who graduated from Peabody Conservatory and The Juilliard School. Fayette has taught at Miami’s New World School of the Arts and at the Lawrence Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College. In addition, he has been a visiting teaching artist with the Academy of the Medellin Philharmonic Orchestra of Medellin, Colombia, with the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra and with the New Jersey Symphony’s CHAMPS/El Sistema program.
As a performer, Fayette has served as Concertmaster with Orchestra Iowa, The Illinois Symphony, Tucson Symphony and Annapolis Symphony and has performed as a soloist with the New World Symphony, Mid-Atlantic Symphony and Orquesta Filarmonica de Medellin.

Founded in 1924, The Music School of Delaware reaches thousands of people from Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland through its instructional programs and over 100 annual public performances. The Music School is the only nationally accredited program of its kind in Delaware and the only statewide accredited community music school in the nation.
