Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges




On August 4, 2017 at approximately 10:11 am, the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on North Street in the area of North DuPont Boulavard (US Rt 113). During the traffic stop, it was determined that the operator, Clerona L. Campbell, 38 of Dover, was wanted by the Justice of the Peace Court #6 and Justice of the Peace Court #2. As Ms. Campbell was taken into custody, it was discovered that she was in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. Ms. Campbell was taken into custody without incident. Ms. Campbell has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended or Revoked, and Possession of Marijuana. Ms. Campbell had a presentment at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $1601.00 USC unsecured bail in reference to the new charges. Campbell was also given new payment plans on her outstanding capiases. She was ordered to appear on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Kent County Court of Common Pleas in reference to this case.
