Fight Leads To Multiple Arrests

 

On 09/01/2017 at approximately 11:49 p.m., the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to the Traveler’s Inn located at 1036 N Walnut St. Milford, reference to a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, officers located multiple subjects arguing and fighting in front of one of the motel rooms on the second floor of the motel. Officers separated all parties involved and detained the three subjects that were fighting. As Officers were attempting to detain the 16 year old juvenile, the juvenile began to resist arrest. The three suspects were identified as Dwayne Richardson, 51 of Dover, DE, Depaul Smith, 36 of Milford, DE, and a 16 year old juvenile male. Further investigation, revealed that the juvenile allegedly became disorderly with Richardson and Smith and a fight ensued between the three of them. It was determined that all three suspects were extremely intoxicated. During the incident, contact was made with a Nakysia Williams, 20 of Dover, DE. It was determined that she was intoxicated and was also caring for a small juvenile. It was also determined that she had violated an active no contact order that had been sent by Kent County Family Court between her and Depaul Smith. She was then taken into custody.

Richardson was charged with Offensive Touching and Disorderly Conduct. Smith was charged with Offensive Touching, Disorderly Conduct, and Providing Alcohol To An Underage Person. Williams was charged with Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, Underage Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol, and Breach of Release. The 16 year old juvenile was charged with Resisting Arrest, Offensive Touching, Disorderly Conduct, and Underage Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol.

Williams and Richardson were arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 7. Williams was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $551.00 USC secured bail. She was ordered to appear in Kent County Family Court at a later date in reference to these charges. Richardson was released on $500.00 USC unsecured bail with a future court date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas. The 16 year old juvenile was turned over to his parents and given a future court date in Kent County Family Court in reference to this case. Smith was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released on $750.00 USC unsecured bail with a no contact order between him and the juvenile in this case. He was order to appear at a later date in Kent County Family Court in reference to this case.
