Camden Woman Arrested For Shoplifting

 

On September 21, 2017 at 4:38 p.m., the Milford Police Department Patrol Division was dispatched to a late reported shoplifting at Walmart located at 939 N DuPont Blvd. Milford, Kent County, DE. Investigation showed that two female suspects were observed through video surveillance removing multiple cell phones from a locked shelf from the electronics department after defeating the security device and placing the cell phones into a bag. Then both females exited the store without paying for the cell phones. Investigation revealed that one of the suspects was identified as a Brittany Cox, 19 of Camden, DE. A warrant was obtained for Cox.

On October 10, 2017, Cox was taken into custody without incident. She was charged with Possession Of Shoplifters Tools, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Shoplifting Under $1500. Cox was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was released on $3000.00 USC unsecured bail with a no contact order with Walmart. She was ordered to appear on 10/27/2017 in Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing. The other suspect has not been identified at this time.
