Del-One Offers Bucs Debit Card

By Terry Rogers

Del-One recently announced that customers can now obtain a debit card depicting the Milford Buc logo. The cards were created for customers to display their support of the Milford Buccaneers proudly wherever they shop.

“All you need is a membership at Del-One that includes a checking account,” Amy Resh, Director of Marketing at Del-One, said. “Any branch can print the card for your account at your request. This is a way Del-One supports the Milford School District.”

Giving back to the community is very important to Del-One and the credit union supports many organizations through sponsorships and donations. The Del-One Foundation is another way that the credit union provides assistance throughout their local community, something that is a strong focus at all credit union locations.

“The Del-One Foundation, a non-profit group that was formed to benefit local charities in Delaware, works with various organizations each year to raise funds and awareness,” Ms. Resh said. “In 2016, over $47,000 was raised and donated to various local charities including Kay’s Kamp, Code Purple, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and many more.”

Funds are not provided to the school district when customers choose the card or use it at establishments and it is only available for debit cards. It is simply a way for the credit union to support Milford School District and promote school spirit.  Debit cards with other school logos are also available and if the credit union does not have one for the preferred school, customers should let bank representatives know so they can work with the district to create one.

Del-One Federal Credit Union focuses on helping members to live a better financial life. Employees work as member advocates; learning about their needs and wants, and helping them find ways to reach their financial goals.

“Since Milford is a charter area for Del-One, anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the City of Milford is automatically eligible to join Del-One,” Ms. Resh said. “We support the entire Milford community and we believe the new Milford Buc card is a great way to support school spirit throughout the area.”
