Charged With Strangulation Following Altercation

 

On 11.19.2017 at approximately 3:01 pm, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to an apartment in the Brightway Commons apartment complex to a report of a physical altercation. Investigation revealed Cameron D. Doyle, 27 of Seaford, and a female got into a verbal altercation that led to Mr. Doyle reportedly physically assaulting the female victim. The female victim was eventually able to flee and call police from a nearby apartment. Upon arrival officers contacted Mr. Doyle who remained in the apartment in which the incident took place. This incident was reportedly witnessed by two children who were in the apartment. Investigation also revealed Mr. Doyle reportedly prevented the female victim from calling police. Mr. Doyle has been charged with Strangulation, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Offensive Touching, and Malicious Interference Emergency Communications Intentionally Prevent or Hinder. Mr. Doyle was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $3350.00 cash. Mr. Doyle was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution. Mr. Doyle is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 12.01.2017 for a Preliminary Hearing.
