On November 29, 2017 an officer conducting a traffic stop on Northwest Front Street (SR 14) in the area of Linstone Lane was approached by Corey G. Comstock, 24 of Milford. Mr. Comstock asked the officer for a ride at which time the officer checked Mr. Comstock through the Delaware Criminal Justice Information System. After the check the officer learned Mr. Comstock was wanted by the Delaware State Police Troop #3. A subsequent search incident to arrest of Mr. Comstock located drug paraphernalia and pills, in which Mr. Comstock did not have a prescription. Mr. Comstock was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Comstock was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $200.00 unsecured. Mr. Comstock was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution on the charges issued by the Delaware State Police. After being turned over to Department of Correction staff, an additional search of Mr. Comstock was conducted, at which time crack cocaine was located in the possession. That led to another warrant being obtained and on 12.01.2017 that warrant was executed. In this case Mr. Comstock has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Hindering Prosecution Suppress Physical Evidence, and Promoting Prison Contraband. Mr. Comstock was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $3000.00 secured. Mr. Comstock continues to be held at the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a bail review on 12.05.2017 at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
