On November 2, 2017 at approximately 4:04 p.m., the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to Popeye’s, located at 697 N. Dupont Blvd in reference to a disorderly person. Investigation revealed that the suspect identified as William Custis, 39 of Milford, was eating in the restaurant and when he was finished, he approached the counter and allegedly began yelling and cursing with the staff. He also allegedly attempted to come into the kitchen/behind the counter area. It was reported that he appeared to be highly intoxicated. Custis left behind belongings at the restaurant, where an ID was located and he was positively identified as the suspect. A warrant was obtained for Curtis reference to this investigation.
On 12/16/2017, officers made contact with Custis reference to another incident and he was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct. He had a presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 7. He was released on $1000.00 USC unsecured bail with a no contact order with Popeye’s. He was ordered to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date.
