On December 31, 2017, Nicholas Demarco, 32 of Harrington, was arrested by Milford Police. The arrest stemmed from a theft that occurred on December 22, 2017 at the Milford Walmart, located at 939 N. DuPont Blvd. At the time a witness told responding Officers that they observed a suspect placing several Wal-Mart items into a Wal-Mart shopping bag and then returned them to Wal-Mart customer service for United States Currency. The witness stated once the suspect was confronted, the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. After further investigation, Officers were able identify the suspect as Nicholas Demarco. A warrant was obtain for Mr. Demarco and he was taken into custody by Felton Police Department on December 31, 2017. Felton Police then turned Mr. Demarco over to Milford Police.

Mr. Demarco was charged with Theft By False Pretense Under $1500.00, Shoplifting Under $1500.00, and Possession of Shoplifter Tools. He was arraigned at The Justice of The Peace Court #7 and released on $2000.00 unsecured bail. He was ordered to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date reference to this case.
