Man Arrested On Drug Charges

On January 23, 2018 at approximately 6:25 p.m., The Milford Police Department Drug Unit along with the assistance of the Criminal Investigations Unit conducted a search warrant on a 1998 Green Toyota Avalon off of Aerenson Dr. Milford. This search warrant was the result of a several month investigation into the sale of illicit drugs from this vehicle in the Milford Area. The vehicle is owned and was being operated by Willie Boyette, 47 of Harrington, DE. The search warrant resulted in the recovery of crack cocaine and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. Boyette was taken into custody and charged with Manufactures, Delivers, Or Possesses With Intent To Manufacture, Deliver A Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Non-Marijuana Related), and Breach of Conditions of Bond During Commitment-Felony. Investigation also revealed that Boyette was currently out on bond for an unrelated assault case.

Boyette had a presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Department of Corrections in default of $12,200.00 USC cash bail. His bail was also revoked on the assault case. He was ordered to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a preliminary hearing.
