Drug Transaction Leads To Arrest

 

On January 23, 2018 Milford Police arrested a pair of men after an investigation into a suspected drug transaction led to a handgun, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia being seized. On 01.23.2018 at approximately 4:08 pm, Milford Police received information that a suspected drug transaction had taken place between occupants of two vehicles in a parking lot at the Brightway Commons apartment complex. Upon arrival officers made contact with two men and further investigation led to the items being located. Treyvon L. Bowman, 23 of Ellendale, and Robert D. Pierce, 27 of Greenwood were both taken into custody and charged as part of this investigation. Mr. Bowman was also found to have two children in his vehicle that witnessed this incident. Mr. Pierce was also found to be actively wanted by two Delaware courts. Mr. Bowman has been charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, two count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited. Mr. Pierce has been charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Bowman was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $32,250.00 secured. Mr. Bowman was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution. Mr. Bowman is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a Preliminary Hearing on 02.02.2018. Mr. Peirce was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $250.00 unsecured and he is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for an arraignment on 03.14.2018.
