Physical Altercation Leads To Charges

 

On January 25, 2018 at approximately 1:23 am, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a residence in the 300 block of Charles Street to a report of a physical altercation. Investigation revealed Travis W. Cimo, 36 of Milford, allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to prevent them from screaming by covering their mouth. Mr. Cimo also allegedly grabbed the phone from the victim as they attempted to call police, causing the call to disconnect. Further investigation located a pair of shotguns in which Mr. Cimo was prohibited to possess. The victim received a minor injury from this altercation. Mr. Cimo has been charged with Offensive Touching, Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited, and Malicious Interference Emergency Communications. Mr. Cimo was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown, where bail was set at $5200.00 unsecured. Mr. Cimo is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on 02.01.2018 at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
