Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the Home Invasion that occurred in the Silver Lake Estates Apartment Complex on January 24, 2018. With the assistance of the Dover Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit, Milford Police Department detectives identified Kaliph Miller, 18 of Camden, DE; Samuel Horton, 18 of Magnolia, DE; and Douglas Moon, 20 of Wilmington, DE as three of the four suspects involved in this home invasion. Detectives obtained warrants for the three suspects involved in this incident.

On 01/31/2018, Horton turned himself into Milford PD and was charged with Home Invasion, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Theft Under $1500, Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Sexual Harassment, Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Conspiracy 2nd Degree. Horton had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Department of Corrections in default of $113,500.00 USC secured bail. A no contact order was put into place between Horton and the City of Milford.

On 02/01/2018, Miller, who was currently being held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, was charged with Home Invasion; Endangering the Welfare of A Child; Theft Under $1500; Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony; Possession, Purchase, Own or Control of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited; Aggravated Menacing; Sexual Harassment; Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony; and Conspiracy 2nd Degree. Miller had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court and was given a $120,000.00 USC cash bail reference to the charges in this case. A no contact order was also put into place between Miller and the victims in the case.

On 02/06/2018, Moon turned himself into Milford PD and was charged with Home Invasion; Theft Under $1500; Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony; and Conspiracy 2nd Degree. Moon had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2. Moon was committed to the Department of Corrections in default of $42,000.00 USC secured bail.

All three suspects were ordered to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a preliminary hearing reference to this investigation.
