Delaware Tech recently received a $4,500 grant from the PPG Foundation to support scholarships, supplies and equipment for STEM summer camps on the College’s Terry Campus in Dover. The donation was made on behalf of PPG’s architectural coatings plant and distribution center in Dover, and the check presentation took place February 12, 2018.
The summer camp programs impacted by the donation are offered through the division of Workforce Development and Community Education. Designed for students aged 5-15 years old, the camps strive to make learning fun and exciting and encourage students to explore careers in STEM-related fields.
Delaware Tech is strongly committed to supporting science, technology, engineering and math programs to ensure Delaware’s future workforce is ready to succeed. In addition to STEM-focused summer camps, the College also offers numerous STEM-related associate degrees, as well as a variety of STEM-based technical programs and workforce trainings that allow graduates to work in the field immediately upon completion.
