Altercation Leads To Multiple Charges

On 04.15.2018 at approximately 8:03pm, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to an apartment in Silver Lake Estates following a physical altercation. Investigation determined a verbal altercation ensued between Shaquel D. Bowe, 25 of Felton, and the victim. This verbal exchange led to Mr. Bowe reportedly taking the victim’s cell phone, pulling their hair, and pushing them. This incident was reportedly witnessed by a young child. It was also learned Mr. Bowe had been ordered not to be on the property of Silver Lake Estates and he had an active no contact order with the victim issued by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in January. Mr. Bowe fled prior to officers arrival. As part of this investigation a warrant was obtained for Mr. Bowe. A residence in Felton was later checked by the Delaware State Police for Mr. Bowe, with him being located and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Bowe has been charged with Offensive Touching, Breach of Release, Theft Under $1500.00, Criminal Trespass 3rd, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Bowe was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $2001.00 secured. Mr. Bowe was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution. Mr. Bowe is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Family Court on 04.17.2018 for a bail review.
