On 04/29/2018, a William Walton Jr., 32 of Milford, DE, was arrested for Driving A Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, stemming from a single vehicle collision that occurred on 03/23/2018 in the early morning hours.
Investigation had revealed that Walton had been operating a motor vehicle a tan Honda CRV on Airport Rd traveling westbound when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway and crashed into an embankment. When officers responded to the scene, Walton, who was in the driver’s seat was unconscious. Walton did regain conscious and was transported to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries. It was learned that Walton may have been under the influence of alcohol, due to this officers obtained a DUI blood search warrant for Walton. Once the warrant was approved, the search warrant was executed at the hospital and Walton’s blood was obtained. Walton’s blood was sent for testing to the Delaware State Police Crime Lab. Officers received the results of the blood, which showed that Walton was over the legal limit for alcohol intoxication and was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Officers then obtained a warrant for Walton for Driving A Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol on 04/16/2018.
On 04/29/2018, Walton was taken into custody without incident. He had a presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released on $5000.00 USC unsecured bail with a further court date in the Court of Common Pleas.
