Downtown Fire Damages Estimated at $100K

Early Tuesday morning, Carlisle Fire Company of Milford responded to the call of a fire in downtown Milford. Located next to the Pikus Building on NE Front Street, the multi-use building had flames coming from the first floor windows when fire crews arrived on scene at 6:15am.

Significant damage was sustained to the clothing store portion with smoke and water damage to the barbershop and the business unit next to the barbershop. No damage was sustained to the third-floor units, and only minor damage was sustained to a second-floor unit. The fire was placed under control at 7:20am and no injuries reported

Investigators said significant damage was sustained to the clothing store portion with smoke and water damage to the barbershop and the business unit next to the barbershop. The damages are estimated at $100,000.
