Foot Patrol Leads To Drug Charge

On 05.29.2018 a proactive foot patrol conducted by officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division resulted in the arrest of a 19 year old Milford man. At approximately 11:16 pm officers contacted Roosevelt Williams, 19 of Milford, on Allen Way In Brightway Commons after he was observed attempting to conceal himself from being seen. Officers noticed a smell of marijuana and further investigation led to 41 grams of marijuana being seized, along with United States Currency. Mr. Williams was taken into custody and has been charged with Possession With The Intent To Deliver A Controlled Substance. Mr. Williams was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $5000.00 unsecured. Mr. Williams is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 06.08.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
