On June 13th Milford Police arrested a Milton man following an investigation into an impaired driving on South DuPont Boulevard (US Rt 113). On June 13th at approximately 3:24 pm, Milford Police received a call about an impaired driver on South DuPont Boulevard (US Rt 113). The responding officer was able to locate the vehicle in question on Lexus Drive as it traveled west from South DuPont Boulevard (US Rt 113). A subsequent stop and further investigation determined Jack Mitchell, 43 of Milton, was reportedly operating the vehicle under the influence of an unknown substance. The investigation also learned Mr. Mitchell was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and a small child in the vehicle. A subsequent search also located crack cocaine. Mr. Mitchell was also found to be wanted by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Mitchell has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving While Suspended, and Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Drug. Mr. Mitchell was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $2200.00 unsecured. Mr. Mitchell is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on June 28th for an arraignment.
