Robbery Investigation Leads To Arrest

Milford Police have arrested two men in connection with a June 2018 robbery. On 06.29.2018 at approximately 2:45pm, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division received a report of an armed robbery that reportedly occurred on East Green Lane. Investigation revealed one of the two suspects reportedly displayed a handgun and removed an undisclosed amount of United States Currency from the victim. The suspects fled and patrol officers began a search for the vehicle. An officer on patrol on North DuPont Boulevard (US Rt 113) located the vehicle in the area of Roosa Road. After a subsequent traffic stop, Marquis T. Demby, 20 of Lincoln, was taken into custody without incident. During the stop a semi-automatic handgun was seized. As a result of the investigation a warrant was also obtained for Jordan Harris, 19 of Dover. On 06.29.2018 Mr. Demby was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, and Conspiracy Second Degree. Mr. Demby was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $1100.00 secured. Mr. Demby was scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing on 07.05.2018 at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas. On 07.16.2018 Mr. Harris was taken into custody in Dover by the U.S. Marshals and turned over to Milford Police. Mr. Harris has been charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Reckless Endangering 1st Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, and Conspiracy Second Degree. Mr. Harris was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $17,500.00 secured. Mr. Harris was scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing on 07.19.2018 at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
