Charged As Part Of Aggravated Menacing

On 07.27.2018 Milford Police responded to a residence on Northeast 10th Street to a report of an altercation. Investigation revealed Tyler Townsley, 24, and Tanner Calhoun, 19, both of Milford arrived at the home to reportedly confront an individual at the residence. It’s been reported Mr. Townsley allegedly displayed a firearm and confronted another individual at the home who was not initial intended target. The two then fled after learning Milford Police were notified. As part of this investigation Mr. Calhoun gave numerous false statements that hindered this investigation. As a result of this investigation warrants were obtained for the pair. On 07.28.2018 Mr. Townsley was taken into custody by officers from the Milford Police Department and the Delaware State Police at a residence on North Union Church Road and Mr. Calhoun turned himself in to police. Mr. Townsley has been charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited, and Conspiracy Second Degree. Mr. Townsley was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was $34,000.00 cash only. Mr. Townsley was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution. Mr. Townsley is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 08.03.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing. Mr. Calhoun has been charged with Provide false statement to Law Enforcement, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Hindering Prosecution. Mr. Calhoun was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $6000.00 unsecured. Mr. Calhoun is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 08.03.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
