The Milford Police Department Drug Unit with the assistance of the Patrol Unit and the US Marshal Service’s First State Fugitive Task Force arrested Jimmy Artis, 30 of Milford, DE, and Gabriel Colon, 30 of Milford, DE, after a several month investigation into the sale of Heroin and Cocaine. During the investigation, the Drug Unit along with the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) purchased of 182 bags of Heroin from Artis and cocaine from Colon. After the Drug Unit and ATF completed their investigation into Artis and Colon, they obtained indictments for Artis and Colon for Drug Dealing through the Kent County Superior Court.
On 09/06/2018, Colon was located at a Department of Corrections Facility. He was picked up by the U.S. Marshals Task Force and transported to the Justice of the Peace Court 7 for presentment. There he was charged with one count of Drug Dealing. He was committed back to the Department of Corrections in default of $10,000 USC cash bail only. He was ordered to appear in the Kent County Superior Court at a later date.
On 09/07/2018, Artis was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force and Milford Police Department at his residence in the unit block of S Walnut St. Milford. He was transported to the Kent County Superior Court for arraignment where he was charged with 5 counts of Drug Dealing. Artis was committed to the Department of Corrections in default of $7500.00 USC secured bail. Artis was ordered to appear at a later date in the Kent County Superior Court.
