On 09.17.2018 an officer from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division was contacted by staff at Bayhealth on West Clarke Avenue while he was there on an unrelated matter and advised of a disorderly person in the Emergency Department. When the officer arrived in the area he observed the man, who was unclothed, acting aggressively toward hospital staff. Attempts to control the individual were unsuccessful, leading the officer to utilize his department issued electronic control device to gain control of the individual. Joshua D. Nicholas, 31 of Milford, was eventually taken into custody. Following this incident a warrant was obtained and Mr. Nicholas was charged with Resisting Arrest, Harassment, Offensive Touching, Menacing, and Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Nicholas was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $2500.00 unsecured. Mr. Nicholas is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on 10.29.2018 for an arraignment.
