Arrested On Bad Check Case

On 10/31/2018, Elmer Marroquin Recinos, 39 of Marydel, MD, was picked up by the Delaware State Police during a traffic stop for an active warrant out of Milford PD stemming from an August 2017 Investigation.

On 08/11/17, the Milford Police Department Patrol Division was dispatched to a business in the 200 block of NE Front St., Milford, Kent County, DE for a fraud investigation. Officers made contact with the business owner, who advised that Elmer Marroquin Recinos had come into the business on 07/22/2017 and cashed two checks valued over $1500.00 USC. The owner advised that both checks were returned to the business for allegedly non-sufficient funds. The owner advised that he sent a certified letter to Mr. Marroquin Recinos, but Marroquin Recinos allegedly failed to make good on the checks. Due to this, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Marroquin Recinos.

On 10/31/2018, Marroquin Recinos was charged with Issuing A Bad Check Equal Or Over $1500- Insufficient Funds Or Credit. Marroquin Recinos had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released on $500.00 USC unsecured bail. He was ordered to appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a preliminary hearing.
