On 11.12.2018 Milford Police arrested a Milford man following an investigation into an incident that occurred at Brightway Commons. On 11.12.2018 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to Bright Way after receiving a report of an individual damaging a parked vehicle, including using a knife to cut the tires. Justin A. Johnson, 23 of Milford, was identified during the investigation as being the one who damaged the vehicle. A check of the area for Mr. Johnson was unsuccessful. A short time later Milford Police Communications received a report that Mr. Johnson had returned to the residence. Mr. Johnson again fled prior to officers arrival. It was learned during the second incident that Mr. Johnson made threats to harm a victim inside an apartment in the complex, along with having an active no contact order with that individual. Mr. Johnson was later located and taken into custody. Mr. Johnson has been charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited, Breach of Conditions of Bond, and Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Johnson was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $12,000.00 secured. Mr. Johnson was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 11.16.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
