Deck the Pauls with boughs of Robbie

The Rescignos: Merry Christmas to Paul, and to Paul a Good Night (feat. Robbie) a new holiday comedy show written by Paul Rescigno (“Mozart in the Jungle”; “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), Robbie Rescigno (Bravo’s “Odd Mom Out”; “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), and Mike Hadge (NEWSical: The Musical), will play the Duplex (61 Christopher Street) in NYC from December 6-8 and The Milton Theatre (110 Union Street) in Milton, DE on December 9.

For ten years, twin brothers Paul and Robbie Rescigno have starred in their eponymous award- winning comedy show with original music. In The Rescignos: Merry Christmas to Paul and Paul A Good Night (feat. Robbie), the Rescigno boys lead a talented ensemble and are joined by special guests for their tenth annual holiday show, jam-packed with brand new songs, as well as a few favorites from the previous nine outings.

With musical direction by Adam Podd, (The Boston Pops, The National Symphony Orchestra, Idina Menzel; Darlene Love), The Rescignos features Paul Rescigno, Robbie Rescigno, John Anderson (“30 Rock”), Stephen James Anthony (War Horse), Henry Russell Bergstein (“Friends from College”), Aimée Cucchiaro (The House of Von Macrame), Peter Dagger (“Ninth Avenue Nancy”), Mike Hadge, Jason Shelton (Kimberly Akimbo), Caitlin Thurnauer (Toy Story The Musical on Disney Cruise Line), Rebecca Weiner (About Face), and Wesley Zurick (On the Shore of the Wide World).
The Rescignos has choreography by Rebecca Weiner, (About Face), original music by Mike Hadge, additional music by Dan Mills (Million Dollar Quartet; “Birds Eye View”), Adam Podd, and Matt Podd (Jazz at Lincoln Center), Wesley Zurick, and Nate Weida (Pirate La Dee Da). Additional costumes are by Sarah Hughes, “The Rescignos” theme song is by Cory Pattak and the consulting producer is Valerie Novakoff.

Special guests include Stephen Carrasco (Wicked) and Sharone Sayegh (The Band’s Visit) on 12/6, Jessica Frey (Sense and Sensibility) on 12/7, Marissa McGowan (A Little Night Music directed by Trevor Nunn) on 12/8, and Paul and Robbie’s singing sister Tricia Rescigno Pastor on 12/9.

Critics have raved about the Rescignos’ previous shows. Roy Sanders of the Bistro Awards said, “F—ing brilliant…I would be hard put to think of anyone I would rather be entertained by for an hour than The Rescignos,” Cabaret Scenes cheered, “The Rescigno twins raise sibling squabbling to an art form,” and The NiteLife Exchange applauded, “Special note should be taken of The Rescignos…their musical comedy routine is what classic Vaudeville would have looked like today…”
