FCU Supports Habitat for Humanity

On Tuesday, December 4th, 2018, Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity was presented with a check in the amount of $5,000 from Dover Federal Credit Union, making DFCU the first ever “Friend of Habitat” sponsor. This was a significant event for both organizations as it helped to manifest the position of an annual sponsorship for the CDHFH. Through these partnerships, the CDHFH will continue to build affordable homes for residents of Kent County.

Founded in 1990, Central DE Habitat for Humanity has created housing solutions for over 170 adults and children. Donna Kiscaden, Dover Federal Chief Financial and Risk Officer and CDHH Board Member stated, “It’s so fantastic to be part of both, an organization and a financial institution, who have come together to achieve such great things for the community. Habitat for Humanity does truly amazing things for people and it is an absolute honor to be the first annual sponsor. Helping them to make a difference is something we proudly support.”

Originally founded on Dover Air Force Base in 1958, Dover Federal Credit Union has been committed to supporting the communities that they serve for over 60 years. Dover Federal has been voted a First State Favorite Credit Union for 3 years in a row.
