Currently Investigating A Shooting At Brightway Commons

 

On 12/23/2018 at approximately 1944 hours, the Milford Police Department was dispatched to a shots fired incident at Brightway Commons Apartment Complex. Officers learned that a bullet had entered into a residence and struck a 4 year old child. The child was transported to Bayhealth: Milford Memorial Hospital and was later transferred to A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in stable condition. Detectives responded to the scene and through investigation learned that an altercation occurred between multiple subjects in the courtyard on the south side of Allen Way. Investigation revealed that during the altercation an unknown subject fired a handgun and one of the bullets is believed to have been the one to strike the child.
