As my second spring in Milford arrives, the bright sunshine and the brisk winds are already sweeping Walnut Street.
Walking along the Mispillion, I’m seeing the blossoms trying to poke through and the green tips of the trees sprouting and I notice I am in a good mood. Milford will do that to you. The smiles of the shopkeepers, the bus drivers, the gas station and the diner remind me that we are all ready for Mother Nature’s renewal.
Soon the Farmer’s Market returns. We’ve already had our Book Sale and Third Thursdays are right around the corner. Even the churches look fuller, now that Spring is here.
Milford is all abuzz about the new movie theater coming to the area later this year. Moms, Dads, Grandparents can’t wait to share that old fashioned family experience of going to the local theater with the little ones to enjoy a blockbuster movie along with some popcorn and a drink.
Spring is the season of renewal and hope. And that’s what Milford is all about. Our new hospital brings good jobs and new neighbors, and new hope for those battling health challenges. Our new Mayor brings enthusiasm and vision for prosperous growth.
Grab the bike for a ride or the kids for a walk because Springtime in Milford is awesome.
