Nancy’s Café to Open in June

Published by Downtown Milford Inc.

Downtown Milford, Inc. (DMI) is proud to announce the opening of a new business in downtown. Do you remember Nancy? Nancy Chirdon Forster opened a popular cafe a few years ago called Nancy’s Riverfront Café. She then ventured into teaching cooking skills at Verde – The Italian Cooking School. Milford was the home of Forster’s past two businesses, and Milford remains Forster’s choice to open a food establishment – now opening a new café at 22 South Walnut Street, Milford.

Forster is reopening her café because she says “I miss the daily connection with customers and I miss putting smiles on people’s faces when they eat my food.” Forster cooks with fresh ingredients, exotic spices, artisan breads – all with a Mediterranean flair. She will use herbs and spices and the freshest ingredients to highlight the food of coastal Italy, France, Spain and Greece. Forster said, “If you can find it elsewhere in Milford, it probably won’t be on my menu!” Come try Forster’s healthy and tasty sandwiches, salads and soups. She will also be serving creamy Sicilian gelato flavored by the fruits in season.

Nancy’s Café (Olive + Lemon) is expected to be a popular place for on-the-go people looking for a healthy eating alternative in Milford. Eat in or carry out. Visit her website at www.nancyonwalnut.com to view her regular and catering menus, order your lunch and pay for it—all in one place. Forster aims to please! Forster specializes in catering both business and social occasions—from corporate functions to wedding receptions!

A Ribbon Cutting is set for Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 am. All are invited to help Nancy celebrate!
